Doug Patterson

Doug Patterson is senior vice president and division manager for specialty industries at FM. Patterson oversees Chemical operations, Forest Products and FM Renewable Energy—three areas critical to advancing resilience and supporting clients in high-challenge sectors.

Patterson began his career with FM in 1987 as a loss prevention consultant. Over nearly four decades, he has held leadership roles spanning engineering, client service and operations, including operations senior vice president for Dallas operations; head of renewable energy; and, most recently, senior vice president for Forest Products and FM Renewable Energy.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
