Tara Long

As senior vice president, chief information officer (CIO) of FM, Tara Long oversees FM’s technology strategy, ensuring the company has the right architecture, skills and tools to support clients, business operations and long-term growth.

Prior to joining FM, Long served as chief technology officer and head of enterprise infrastructure services at MassMutual, where she managed infrastructure and security engineering functions. Her responsibilities included data center operations, cloud services, network services, middleware, database, server and storage platforms, virtualization, cloud and dev/ops engineering, enterprise data management and engineering and data integration capabilities. During her tenure at MassMutual Long held several other positions, including CIO, corporate and institutional solutions, as well as divisional CIO roles, supporting the corporate functions and MassMutual's domestic U.S. insurance and wealth management businesses.

Long is a certified information systems auditor (CISA), certified information systems security professional (CISSP) and is also certified in risk and information systems controls (CRISC). She holds an MBA with a concentration in MIS from Western New England University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Mount Holyoke College.
