Ziad Alex S. Tadmoury

Alex Tadmoury is Executive Vice President, based in London, with responsibility for the EMEA and APAC regions, FM India, Canada, FM Affiliated businesses, and the Group’s global growth strategies. He brings more than 35 years of insurance and reinsurance experience across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the United States.
Tadmoury offers broad international leadership experience spanning both operational and staff functions. Prior to his current role, he led the Group’s renewable energy, chemical, forest products, and mid‑market verticals; oversaw FM’s APAC division; and directed key corporate functions including sales, client experience, the WorldReach partner network, and broker relations. He also served as Chief Executive of HB Re, FM’s real estate subsidiary.
A key contributor to the Group’s international strategy, Tadmoury led multiple market‑entry initiatives, including the establishment of FM Insurance Europe S.A. in Luxembourg and branch licensing efforts in Switzerland, South Korea, and India. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of FMIE and previously chaired FM’s Bermuda captives. His board experience includes directorships at FM Global de Mexico S.A. and CIS, FM’s reinsurance intermediary.
In 2012, Tadmoury relocated to the United States to restructure and lead global sales. Earlier, he served as Managing Director in France, where he led insurance and engineering operations across the Benelux, Italy, the Iberian Peninsula, Greece, Türkiye, and North Africa.
Since joining FM in 1989, Tadmoury has held a range of senior leadership roles, including Head of Underwriting and Client Service in Paris; Deputy Director of Construction and Power in London; and Manager of the Assumed Reinsurance Unit in Boston, Massachusetts.
Tadmoury began his career in reinsurance at Hannover Re’s (MedRe Services) branch in Athens, Greece. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Business Analysis from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and an MBA from the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business at Saint Louis University. He has also completed executive education at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and the Amsterdam Institute of Finance.
