JOHNSTON, R.I., USA, August 27, 2026 – Commercial property insurer FM today announced a $1 million foundation gift to Boston Children’s Hospital to create the FM Resilience Fund, which will support the hospital’s Resilience and Palliative Care Center.

As part of the charitable partnership, Boston Children’s Hospital will also serve as the official charitable partner of the 2026 FM Championship, a premier LPGA Tour event that tees off today at TPC Boston in Norton, Massachusetts.

The FM Resilience Fund, established through a gift from the FM Foundation, reflects a shared commitment to improving the lives of children and families in need. Through this charitable partnership, the FM Championship and Boston Children’s will come together to celebrate the power of resilience and the impact of women’s sports.

"FM is proud to support the critical mission of Boston Children’s Hospital and the families who depend on its world-class care,” said Malcolm Roberts, chairman and chief executive officer of FM. “At FM, we believe in the power of resilience—a quality that the patients, families and staff exemplify every single day at Boston Children’s. We look forward to our collaboration with Boston Children’s at the FM Championship and beyond.”

"We are honored to be part of the FM Championship and grateful for this generous gift," said Kevin B. Churchwell, MD, CEO of Boston Children's Hospital. "By bringing together support for children and women's sports, this charitable partnership will make a meaningful difference for kids and families. This gift will advance our mission of exceptional care, groundbreaking research and hope for the future."

The Resilience and Palliative Care Center is the newest center of excellence at Boston Children’s Hospital. Grounded in innovation and research, the center works to ensure Boston Children’s patients and families are able to maximize every day, regardless of the severity of their condition.

“This game-changing charitable partnership will enable Boston Children’s to offer resilience training to families whose children have complex medical needs,” said Abby Rosenberg, director of Boston Children’s Resilience and Palliative Care Center. “Additionally, it allows us to bring this valuable support to other groups, including physicians, nurses and parents.”

As one of the LPGA Tour's premier events, the FM Championship brings together world-class athletes, passionate fans, and community partners in support of both elite competition and charitable impact—all in a family friendly environment. By naming Boston Children's as its charitable partner, the championship underscores its commitment to investing in healthier futures for children while elevating opportunities for women in sports.

The charitable partnership also reflects Boston Children's longstanding leadership in advancing breakthroughs in sports medicine, orthopedics, child development, and mental and physical health, all of which help young athletes thrive. Through innovative programs, including its Female Athlete Program, Boston Children's is helping shape the future of youth sports by supporting the unique needs of girls and young women both on and off the field.
