Gracias al trabajo de promoción del International Codes Group (ICG), FM se ha consolidado como un colaborador clave en los esfuerzos por mejorar las normas y los códigos contra incendios en los mercados comerciales e industriales más importantes. En los últimos años, el equipo del ICG ha desempeñado un papel prominente al apoyar diversos esfuerzos de promoción e investigación para la aprobación del Código de Construcción Nacional de India, la actualización de códigos en China y el desarrollo de un Modelo Nacional de Regulación de la Seguridad contra Incendio en Brasil, entre otros avances logrados en los mercados mundiales.

El equipo del ICG está conformado por profesionales con amplia experiencia, ubicados tanto en mercados desarrollados como emergentes en todo el mundo. Su misión es clara: fortalecer los códigos de construcción y de protección contra incendios en beneficio de nuestros clientes.

Para lograrlo, el equipo colabora con autoridades gubernamentales, institutos de investigación y organizaciones del sector para promover, codificar e implementar requisitos de seguridad para prevenir siniestros costosos (especialmente a causa de incendios), a fin de mejorar la resiliencia de nuestros clientes. Como resultado de este trabajo conjunto, se han logrado avances significativos en Asia, América Latina y Europa.

  • David morales

    Principal code consultant

    David Morales, Principal Code Consultant, has more than 35 years of risk management experience. He is responsible for working with a variety of agencies, national bodies, and associations to influence national codes and standards that relate to loss prevention in Latin America.

    David is currently the President for National Fire Protection Council of Mexico (CONAPCI) and represents FM as a member of the Board in the Latin America Fire Protection Association (LATAM PCI). He has a Bachelor's in Electronic and Instrumentation Engineering from the Technological Institute of Monterrey.

    Prior to joining FM, David served in a variety of engineering and engineering management roles with teams working in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil.

  • Thomas roche

    Principal code consultant

    Thomas Roche, Principal Code Consultant, has more than 25 years of risk management experience. He is responsible for working with a variety of agencies, national bodies and associations to influence national codes and standards that relate to loss prevention in Europe.

    Tom has travelled extensively across the globe supporting FM’s clients in establishing loss prevention policies as well as implementing risk strategies aimed at improving the resilience of their businesses to property risks.

    Prior to this appointment with FM, Tom served in a variety of engineering and engineering management roles with teams working in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Italy, Scandinavia, Southern Africa and the Middle East.

  • Srikanth yajjala

    Codes & standards consultant

    Srikanth Yajjala, Codes & Standards Consultant, is responsible for FM's efforts to strengthen the building codes and standards in India.

    Srikanth is currently the executive secretary for Fire Loss Prevention Forum of India and Chairman for Codes and Standards at the Fire & Security Association of India. He has an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Andhra University.

    Prior to joining FM, he worked as Scientist 'C' (Deputy Director) in Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). During his time in BIS, he was responsible for the development of various Indian standards related to firefighting, fire safety, smart cities, sustainability in built environments and various building materials. He was the secretariat of national level technical committees on these subjects.

  • Rachel yin

    Sr. Codes & standards consultant

    Dr. Rachel Yin, Sr. Codes & Standards Consultant, joined FM in 2011. Based in Shanghai, PRC office, she is responsible for FM's efforts to support building code and installation standard organizations in Greater China.

    Dr. Rachel Yin is Level 1 Registered Fire Engineer in China and Chartered Engineer in UK. She is President of SFPE China Chapter and member of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD) Disaster Prevention Research Center Expert Committee in China.

    Prior to joining FM, she had a wealth of experience in fire safety engineering in many world-scale projects in the UK, Hong Kong and mainland China, involving extensive contact with those responsible for building codes and standards at local and national levels.
