FM Appoints Achim Hillgraf to Scale Market Engagement Across EMEA
FRANKFURT, GERMANY, 2 Oct. 2026 – Commercial property insurer FM today announced the appointment of Achim Hillgraf as head of EMEA market strategy and engagement, to scale the company’s local market engagement and accelerate the expansion of FM’s footprint across EMEA.
Hillgraf’s appointment reflects FM’s ambition to expand its presence across the region by enhancing its established approach with a more locally focused market strategy. Hillgraf will work with FM's regional leadership to identify and grow opportunities across individual markets and product lines, strengthen engagement with clients as well as expand broker and carrier partnerships. His appointment is effective as of 1 October 2026.
Hillgraf was instrumental in the recent launch of FM Essential, an insurance solution designed for manufacturing clients that aspire to become more resilient, providing tailored protection, engineering expertise, and risk improvement support to help them achieve their business ambitions.
A key focus of his new role will be identifying where FM’s expanding range of solutions can best respond to the needs of individual markets and sectors across EMEA. In his new role, Hillgraf will continue to report to Alex Tadmoury, CEO, international.

Since joining the company 30 years ago, Hillgraf has held a variety of leadership responsibilities spanning Germany, the Nordics, Benelux, and Eastern Europe. These include more than two decades as operations manager for Frankfurt operations, followed most recently by his role as head of global growth strategies.
Hillgraf holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Hartford, USA and a Diplom-Kaufmann from the J.W. Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany.
